Leadership Summit Consortium “Talking Points”

The following is a beginning of a “Talking Points” document for the Consortium.  Please review and make suggestions for revisions and additions:

1. The Leadership Summit Consortium is the first organization to attempt to gather all interested parties in leadership development in the public safety field under one umbrella.

2. The PublicSafetyLeaderShip.Org website provides a service to all public safety organizations for the purpose of sharing interest and ideas regarding leadership training/education.

3. The Consortium seeks to identify public safety leadership and related organizations around the world for the purpose of interchange of info/ideas.

4. The Consortium provides an opportunity for all persons interested in public safety leadership to meet and discuss ideas and issues of mutual interest.

5. The Consortium is developing a research and development capacity and has begun its initial project of identifying and cataloguing all programs in the leadership development field in public safety, designed to result in a directory of programs with comparable information on each.

6. The Consortium envisions the research to result in development of mutually beneficial partnerships among public safety and related individuals/organizations.
